I devoured this book in one sitting, and I’m still reeling from the experience! Julie Crews, the lovable, witty, and sarcastic main character, is surrounded by a fantastic cast of companions who will capture your heart. The world-building is exceptional, with a unique and vividly imagined setting that’s both eerie and enthralling.

The story is expertly crafted, blending humor, horror, and heart in a perfect mix. The pacing is relentless, hurtling you through a wild ride of twists and turns that will keep you on the edge of your seat.

Julie’s journey is a thrilling ride, full of memorable moments and characters who will stay with you long after the final page. The writing is superb, with a seamless blend of Kadrey and Khaw’s styles that creates a truly unforgettable reading experience.

Overall, “The Dead Take the A Train” is an amazing blend of horror and urban fantasy that would please fans of either genre. Don’t miss out on this incredible tale of adventure, friendship, and the power of the human spirit. Five stars aren’t enough – I’d give it ten if I could!

And the best part? I’m now desperately awaiting the sequel, eager to see what’s next for Julie and her companions. Be prepared to count down the days until the next installment!
